Reproduction WW2 German 2nd Pattern Luftwaffe Portepee in Cellophane Package

Here on offer is a reproduction WW2 German Luftwaffe portepee with a tie string and clear cellophane package, circa 1960.

This is the short version portepee that is suitable for use any 2nd pattern Luftwaffe Dagger.

I was originally sold this as a genuine period dress knot, but it has come to light, according to Tom Wittmann that these where actually made in the 1960's.

It is made from the slightly thinner and brighter silvered material and is in mint condition. So this still makes a great display item in its own right, of if it was to be fitted to a dagger, it would be very hard to tell from an original knot.

The clear cellophane package has a split along the crease of one end, which allowed me to remove the portepee for photos.

There is also a couple of small splits where the maker’s name is printed, but the remainder of the packaging just shows age related crinkling.

On the front it has printed:

The maker’s address printed at one end seems to read as:
