WW2 Period Chrome Plated Monoplane Aircraft Brooch Possibly of an RAF Miles Master III c1940
Here on offer is an interesting and well-made, WW2 period chrome plated monoplane aircraft brooch, possibly of an RAF Miles Master III, circa 1940.
This could even be a WW2 “Trench Art” sweetheart brooch made by an engineer for a loved one?
It is in excellent condition and retains all its original bright chrome plating.
It is fitted with a period “safety pin” that is soldered in place, and still works as a fixing pin.
The aircraft brooch measures 1.5” (3.8cm) wing tip to wing tip and the fuselage measures 1.2” (3cm) long.
It weighs 5g.
