Vintage German Bavarian hunter’s brooch with wild boar hair and silver-plated acorn/oak leaf brooch fitting c1960

Here on offer is a vintage German Bavarian hunter’s brooch with wild boar hair and a silver-plated acorn/oak leaf brooch fitting, c1960.

These broches where normally worn by the members of various southern German hunts, on their jackets or hats

The cone of wild boars’ hair is in excellent condition retaining the lovely white fringe at the top.

The silver-plated metal brooch fitting depicts acorns and oak leaves and retains the original fixing pin and clasp on the back.

It measures 4.2” (10.5cm) high and weighs 12g.
