Scarce WW2 Period WINGS FOR VICTORY - Birmingham - Fundraising Tin & Card Badge

Here on offer is a scarce original WW2 period
WINGS FOR VICTORY, tin badge that relates to the WW2 Birmingham fundraising campaign.

These badges where sold to raise funds for aircraft during WW2 and would depict the names of the various towns that were involved.

It depicts the image of a RAF Halifax Bomber aircraft on a RAF roundel, printed on card and set in a tin surround and backing. It still retains its original pin fitting on the reverse.

The badge is in good condition with some staining to the card and light rust marks to the tin.

It measures 1.2” (3cm) diameter and weighs 4g.
