Vintage British Officers Leather Covered Swagger Stick with Concealed Blade

Here on offer is a fine vintage or possibly earlier, British officers leather covered swagger stick with a concealed blade.

It is devoid of any maker’s marks and to be honest I am not sure where it was made?

The leather covering is very fine and looks to be English but the blade looks to be handmade, (possibly Indian) being slightly crude to the finish of the steel, but the plating is excellent?

The flat chrome plated steel blade is 13.75” (35cm) long with a sharpened cutting edge of 8.5” (21.6cm) on one edge and a short 1.75” (4.4cm) cutting edge on the other.
The blade itself is in excellent condition with just some tiny areas of plating loss.
It has some very slight almost undetectable ‘bends’ that ensures it fits tightly into the scabbard section and remains securely in place.

The handle and scabbard section are made from wood that has been covered with a thin black leather. The leather is in fine condition with all the stitching still in place. When the blade is inserted, the join between the handle and the scabbard is almost impossible to see.

With the blade inserted, it measures 21” (53.3cm) long and is about 0.75” (1.8cm) diameter.

It weighs 165g.
