Vintage Smoker’s Pipe Knife by Wilkinson Sword of Sheffield
Here on offer is a fine example of a vintage smoker’s pipe knife by the world famous knife maker, Wilkinson Sword of Sheffield.
The knife consists of a pipe tamper, a round tipped knife and a spike for cleaning out the pipe stem, all made from stainless steel.
The grip has two smooth dark blue scales, made from a kind of hard plastic that are in great condition, no damage. On one side it is inset with the oval makers crossed swords logo and name “WILKINSON SWORD”. They are held in place against the brass liners, by three brass pins.
The stainless steel blade is stamped on one side of the ricasso with STAINLESS INOX and on the other with SHEFFIELD ENGLAND.
The blade and spike open and close with a strong snap and they don’t have any “wobble”.
This is an excellent example of a smoker’s knife that looks to have never been used.
The blade measures 2.25” (5.7cm) long and the spike is 2.75”” (7cm) long.
The knife is 3.3” (8.4cm) when closed and weighs 42g.
