WW1 King's Own Yorkshire light Infantry K.O.Y.L.I. Brass and Enamel Regimental Crest Sweetheart Brooch

Here on offer is a beautiful example of a WW1 King's Own Yorkshire light Infantry K.O.Y.L.I., brass and enamel regimental crest sweetheart brooch

The brooch is in excellent condition and it retains all of the red, white and blue enamel to the crest and crown. The gilt finish is still very bright.

It still retains its original fixing pin and locking “C” clasp on the reverse.

The King’s Own Yorkshire Light Infantry (KOYLI) was a regiment of the British Army. It officially existed from 1881 to 1968, but its predecessors go back to 1755. The regiment’s traditions and history are now maintained by The Rifles.

The brooch measures 1.2” (3cm) wide by 1.3” (3.3cm) high.

It weighs 7g.
