Unusual Scottish 5th Bn. Seaforth Highlanders Glengarry Nickel Silver Badge

Here on offer is what looks to be an unusual Scottish 5th Bn. Seaforth Highlanders Glengarry nickel silver crest/badge?

It depicts a mountain cat of the Sutherlands to the voided centre, surrounded by an oval belt and buckle with the words:

SANS PEUR

"Sans peur" is a French phrase that translates to "without fear" or "fearless" in English.

The badge seems to have been well cast from nickel silver or some other low grade silver, but there are no maker’s marks visible.

It does not have a fixing pin fitted, so I am unsure how it would be worn?

It is in great condition and retains a lot of the detailing to the buckles and cats face.

It measures 2.5” (6.4cm) by 1.8” (4.6cm) and weighs 26.5g.
