Unusual British WW1 Bullet Trench Art Letter Opener in the Shape of a Lady’s Leg with an Engaved Shoe and Garter

Here on offer is an unusual British WW1 bullet trench art letter opener in the shape of a lady’s leg with a shoe and leg garter.

The brass blade of the letter opener has been cut out in the shape of a lady’s leg. It has then been hand engraved with the image of a lady’s shoe and a leg garter on both sides.

The blade that fits securely to an inert British .303 type bullet head and inert cartridge, with markings on the base that date it to 1917.

The letter opener measures 7.5” (19cm) long with a 5.1” (13cm) blade and weighs 30g.
