WW2 French Air Force Pilot’s Identity Bracelet
Here on offer is a WW2 French Air Force pilot’s identity bracelet.
On the front of the plated oval disc, it depicts the image of a French pilot’s insignia, a five-pointed star and a set of spread wings, on top of a laurel wreath. Below the wings there is a blank ribbon shaped section that could be engraved with the owner’s name. His details could also be engraved on the back of the disc.
The disc is attached to two lengths of metal chain that are joined together with a small metal spring clip.
The identity bracelet is in excellent condition with just some slight loss of plating the raised points.
The oval disc measures 1.25” (3.2cm) wide by 0.9” (2.2cm) high and with the chain, measures 8.4” (21.3cm) end to end.
It weighs 13g.
