WW2 Trench Art RAF Spitfire Desk Ashtray

Here on offer is a WW2 tench art RAF aluminium Spitfire model and brass ashtray, mounted on a wooden plinth.

This impressive piece has a finely detailed cast aluminium model of a Spitfire, fitted to a curved stand made from a section of perspex, that was probably from the canopy of a damaged WW2 period RAF aircraft.

The perspex stand fits securely to a rectangular oak plinth, that has also been fitted with a trench art brass circular ashtray and an RAF brass uniform button.

It is in excellent original condition and the perspex is still clear.

The wooden plinth measures is 6” (15.3cm) by 3.9” (9.8cm) and the Spitfire has a 5.5” (14cm) wingspan.

It weighs 322g.
