Scottish Silver Hallmarked Axe Shaped Kilt Pin/Brooch by Robert Allison of Glasgow - 1955

Here on offer is a fine example of a Scottish silver hallmarked axe shaped kilt pin/brooch by Robert Allison of Glasgow - 1955

The front depicts an impressive, classic Celtic twisted pattern. On the back it retains it long silver pin and “C” clasp.

Also on the back are a clear set of Scottish silver hallmarks for Glasgow, along with the date letter “G” for the year 1955.

There is also the makers mark “RA”, set in an oval, which relates to Robert Allison, a Scottish silversmith based in Glasgow.

The kilt pin is in excellent condition, please see my photos.

It measures 2.25” (5.8cm) long and weighs 4.3g.
