German WWII Waffen SS 1934 Wintertag Badge

Here on offer is an example of a German WWII Waffen SS 1934 Wintertag Badge.

To be honest I can’t be sure if this an original or a reproduction piece. The reproductions are so good these days it is almost impossible to tell?

Therefore, I am selling it as a REPRODUCTION piece as I can’t guarantee its original…..Someone may get a bargain, or just an impressive copy.

The badge is made of a two piece aluminium construction with a black wool in center.

It depicts the SS Skull at top and Castle at the base Then there is raised lettering that reads as:

On the back it is faintly stamped 'Ges Gesch and retains its fixing pin, that is now slightly rusty.

The front of the badge shows signs of age oxidisation, which actually adds to its appeal.

It measures 3.2” (8cm)long by 2.1” (5.4cm) wide and weighs 24g.
