Large 30” x 20” Photo on Card of RAF Panavia Tornado GR.1B ZA471 in Flight
Here on offer is a large 30” x 20” colour photo on card of an RAF Panavia Tornado GR.1B, registration
ZA471, in Flight.
The Royal Air Force (RAF) Panavia Tornado operated for nearly 40 years, entering service in 1979–1980 and officially retiring on March 31, 2019.
The photo depicts aircraft ZA471 that served with the RAF until it encountered a “bird strike” during touch-and-go operation at RAF Marham, near Kings Lynn, Norfolk, England, on 1th October 2000.
There where fortunately no fatalities, but the aircraft was badly damaged and deemed unrepairable and therefore was scrapped.
The photo seems to show it armed with a Sea Eagle anti-ship missile, Sidewinder missiles, an electronic warfare pod and fuel drop tanks.
This photo has been printed onto a card backing and looks to be a real period piece, which is in excellent undamaged condition.
It measures 30” (76cm) by 20” (51cm)
Owing to its size (it can’t be rolled up) it will cost approximately £15 to post within the UK.
