Antique Georgian Cut Steel Chatelaine with Three Chains and Accesories
Here on offer is a late Georgian or early Victorian cut steel chatelaine.
It has three finely cut steel chains and a cut and pierced decorative hook-plate, with an assortment of original period accessories.
There is a metal thimble case in the form of a bucket that may originally have had a felt lining? Then there is also a period steel button hook. Finally, there is group of five small keys, one with a tag that reads:
Small
Black bag
JST Jnr
The chatelaine is in excellent condition with just some dark age staining to the steel as you would expect for a piece of such an age.
From the top of the hook-plate to the end of a chain, it measures 9.25” (23.5cm) long and each chain is 7.5” (19cm) long.
With its accessories it weighs 60g.
