Antique Indian Sword Stick with Horn and Carved Bone Handle

Here on offer is an antique Indian “souvenir” type sword stick with a horn and carved bone handle.

The handle is made up of a nickel plated lion mask pommel attached to a beautiful smooth light horn section. Below this is an ornately carved bone section and a knurled brass collar which twists to lock the blade securely in place.

The single edged 25.5” polished steel blade has some punched scrolled pattern decoration to one side of the blade, near the handle. The other side is plain and the whole blade is in excellent condition, with just some minor dark spots.

The sheath is made of Ebonised wood that has some carving to the top and bottom sections and is fitted with a large brass ferrell at the tip.

The sword stick is in excellent condition with just a tiny crack in the bone handle.

The steel blade is 25.5” (65cm) long with a cutting edge of 20.75” (53cm).

With the blade inserted, the whole stick measures 35.5” (90.2cm) long.

It weighs 595g.
