Fine Pair of Chrome and Gilt Brass Fouled Anchor Candlesticks

Here on offer is a fine pair of chrome and gilt brass fouled anchor candlesticks.

These nautical candlesticks have been very well made in the classic form of an anchor entwined with rope.

The anchor appears to be chrome plated, or possibly silver plated? The rope on the anchor and around the top of the base is made from gilt brass and shows fine detailing.

There are no makers marks on them that I can see, but under the circular base, each one is stamped a different number, being 209 and 265, which maybe serial numbers?
They are difficult to date, but I would class them as “vintage” not antique as some other dealers have described them, but I could be wrong.

They each measure 3.25” (8.2cm) high with a 2.5” (6.4cm) diameter base.

One weighs 570g and the other 520g.
