Unusual Vintage Custom-Made Dagger with a 6.75” Mint Stainless Steel Blade by F. DICK Solingen Germany

Here on offer is an unusual vintage custom-made dagger with a mint 6.75” stainless steel blade by F. DICK of Solingen, Germany.

This dagger appears to have been custom-made using a double edged, spear pointed blade that was made by F. DICK. The blade is very similar to those that F. DICK produced for German SA and NSKK daggers during WW2. This is obviously a post WW2 made blade, but looking at the logo I would date it to the 1950's/60's.

This blade is in mint condition and is etched on one side with the makers details:

F. DICK (with company ARROW logo)
MADE IN GERMANY
STAINLESS

The pointed oval shaped crossguard and ferrule grip fitting appear to be made from polished stainless steel. There is a very slight wobble where the crossguard sits against the blade.

The large solid and smooth rosewood grip is in excellent condition and is held in place with a thin flat steel capped pommel, that is just pinned with four steel nails.

This is actually an impressive dagger and really just needs a leather scabbard.

The blade measures 6.75” (17.2cm) and the dagger itself 12.25” (31.2cm) long.

It weighs 155g.
