Antique 5.5” Copper Dish Set with the Raised Profile of Mr Bumble from Charles Dickens Novel Oliver Twist c1886

Here on offer is an antique 5.5” copper dish set with the raised profile image of Mr Bumble from Charles Dickens novel, Oliver Twist circa 1886.

This rather attractive hand-made copper dish has an outer and inner scalloped edge and it now has a rich dark patina finish to the copper.

In the center of the dish it has been set with a circular copper plaque that depicts the raised image of Mr Bumble, the cruel and pompous character from Oliver Twist.

Around the edge is the name BUMBLE and an Rd No. 48720, that relates to the years 1886/7.

The copper plaque id held in place by a large brass ring.

This really unusual Victorian dish makes an attractive display piece and would make a great present for nay Chrles Dickens fan!

It measures 5.5” (14cm) dimeter and is 1” (2.5cm) high.

It weighs 82g.
