Vintage Royal Scots Greys “WATERLOO” Horse Brass with Leather Hanger and Strap

Here on offer is a fine example of a vintage Royal Scots Greys “WATERLOO” horse brass with leather hanger and strap/buckle.

The sold horse brass depicts the Royal Scots Greys crest of the historic British cavalry regiment (the 2nd Dragoons), featuring their famous Waterloo Eagle emblem. This the French Imperial Eagle and the scroll reading "Waterloo", which commemorates the regiment capturing the flag (Eagle) of the French 45th Regiment.

The Royal Scots Greys were an elite Scottish cavalry regiment famous for only riding grey horses and their legendary cavalry charge at the Battle of Waterloo in 1815.

The brass is fitted to a black leather hanger which has a brass buckle and leather strap.

The brass is in excellent condition and actually makes an impressive display piece.

The brass measures 3.6” (9.5cm) by 3” (7.6cm) and the backing hanger is 6.7” (17cm) long.

It weighs 140g.

It will be sent in a large padded envelope with a cardboard backing.
