Genuine WW1 Period Brass Military Campaign Field Stove or Cooker

Here on offer is a genuine WW1 period brass military campaign field stove or cooker.

I believe this example is of French manufacture, with the base of the pot being stamped with the maker’s mark, that I sadly can’t identify. The pot retains its lid, lid ring and folding loop handles.

It also has the brass burner with screw on wick cover. The base looks to have been resoldered around the edges, to ensure it is securely sealed.

It has the brass support stand, that has three turned brass pillars.

The set is in excellent condition and the burner and stand still fit neatly inside the pot. It has clearly been used as can be seen from the darkened inside and all the brass now has a nice aged patina, to the finish.

It would have originally come with a leather cylindrical case, which is now missing.

The pot measures 5” (12.8cm) diameter and is 3.25” (8.3cm) high, excluding the pot lid ring.

It weighs 480g.
