Unique Custom made Combat Knife with 7.25” Blade with handmade Leather Sheath

Here on offer is a unique custom made combat knife with 7.25” blade with handmade leather sheath.

I am sure this is a post WW2 piece, possibly 1970's, but it is not possible to date accuratly.

This impressive knife has a 7.25” double edged dagger shaped steel blade that has been made from a metal file. It has a central raised ridge and has been finely ground down on both sides to show a polished cross graining pattern. Both ricasso’s show the original file graining pattern, that now also has a polished finish. The blade is 1" wide.

The blade seems to have a full length tang, running the length of the grip, that holds the blade very securely against the oval brass crossguard.

The whole grip is made up of stacked leather discs that is topped with a flat circular brass pommel disc.

This example comes with a fine handmade stitched tan leather sheath that is embossed on the front with the image of a skull holding a combat knife in its mouth.

There is also a retaining strap with a press stud fastener and a belt loop.

It is extremely easy to handle and is perfectly balanced knife and a unique piece!

It has a 7.25” (18.4cm) long blade and the whole knife measures 11.76” (30cm) long.

With the sheath it weighs 270g.
