Mint Kissing Crane KC 46 Stag Grip Manual Folding Stiletto Knife with 3” Blade
Here on offer is a mint example of a vintage manual folding stiletto lock back knife, with a 3” blade, stag horn grip, manufactured in Italy for (Robert Klass) KISSING CRANE.
Now, there seems to be a lot of discussion on blade forums about these knives, but my understanding is that this older vintage version of a KISSING CRANE stiletto, was actually made in Italy.
It also appears that from around 2009, ALL knife production of KISSING CRANE knives, was transferred to China, now making these older Italian made examples very collectable.
It has a polished 3” stainless steel pointed blade with a 2.6” sharp single cutting edge.
On one side the ricasso is stamped with:
KC46
ROSTFREI
and on the other side, the KISSING CANE logo.
The blade has a nail pull grove to manually open it and it locks securely in place. You then press the release latch on the top edge to fold and close the blade.
The grip is made up from two fine genuine stag horn scales, that are held in place by three brass pins.
On the front it is inset with a KISSING CRANE logo brass disc.
It has polished brass bolsters and a slightly hook shaped finger guard.
The blade measures 3” (7.6cm) long with a 2.6” (6.8cm) cutting edge and the knife is 7” (17.8cm) long when open.
It weighs 65g.
