Royal Navy Divers Knife N.S. No. 4220-99-523-9744 by John Nowill & Sons Ltd with Black Plastic Sheath c1970

Here on offer is an excellent, near mint example of an original Royal Navy Divers knife, (N.S. No. 4220-99-523-9744) by John Novwill & Sons Ltd, complete with its black plastic sheath, circa 1970.

It has a 7.75" pointed double edged stainless steel blade, with one side serrated and the other with a straight sharpened edge.

On one side it is clearly etched with the maker’s details and its NATO stock number:

The blade is in near mint condition, with just some light surface scratches.

It has an undamaged moulded black rubber grip, with three raised “grip ribs” and a circular stainless steel flat pommel at the top.

It comes with its original black plastic sheath with rubber retaining loop. On the front in raised text is the NATO stock number, N.S. No 4220-99-523-9745.

The sheath is in excellent undamaged condition, just some slight usage scuff marks on the front.

The blade measures 7.75” (19.7cm) and the whole knife is 12.9” (32.7cm) long.

It weighs a heavy 550g.
