Vintage Scottish Kilt Pin on its Original Display Card – MIZPAH SERIES c1950
Here on offer is a vintage Scottish kilt pin on its original display card, marked MIZPAH SERIES, circa 1950.
This is a classic example of a traditional metal Scottish kilt pin, but surprisingly it is still fitted to its original display card.
The plated pin is in excellent condition and is clearly unused.
The card is now slightly creased and marked but is actually in great condition, with a nice tartan pattern on the front. There is a maker’s label at the top, but I can’t make out the wording now as the top finish has worn off.
On the back it states it is part of the MIZPAH SERIES, with a double heart and arrow logo.
This seems to relate to items that were produced by Ward Brothers and later Quarrier Ward in Birmingham's Jewellery Quarter before being absorbed by Miracle Jewellery.
The kilt pin measures 3” (7.7cm) long and with the card weighs 8g.
