Mint Vintage Pocket Pruning Knife with Unusual Saw Blade by Joseph Rodgers & Sons

Here on offer is a mint vintage pocket pruning knife with the unusual addition of a saw blade, by Joseph Rodgers & Sons.

Highly collectible today, the Joseph Rodgers knives are among the most respected and sought after by collectors.

This knife is in mint, unused condition and has a 2.75” hawksbill shaped stainless steel blade.

On one side of the ricasso it is stamped with the Jospeh Rodgers makers mark of the Star and Maltese cross stamp and the name:

RODGERS
STAINLESS
SHEFFIELD
ENGLAND

The Star and Malta cross marks was originally that of Benjamin Rich. Rogers registered the same mark in 1764.

It also has 2.75” saw blade, that again is in mint condition and it is very sharp!

The grip scales are made of a smooth polished ivory coloured hard plastic or composite material.

Both blades are stiff to open and lock in place with a firm snap, with no wobble.


The pruning blade measures 2.75” (7cm) long with a cutting edge of 2.25” (5.8cm). The saw blade is 2.75” (7cm) long and the knife when closed is 3.6” (9.2cm) long.

It weighs 67g.
