Here on offer is a WW1 period (Princess Louise's) pattern, Argyll and Sutherland Highlanders large metal cap badge.

The white metal badge has a circlet inscribed ARGYLL AND SUTHERLAND. Within the circlet, voided, the cypher "L" of the late Princess Louise, interlaced and reversed.

Here on offer is an excellent example of an original 1898-1921 The Gordon Highlanders white metal regimental cap badge with two lugs on the back. The badge depicts the stag from the crest of the Marquis of Huntley, with the ducal coronet within a wreath of ivy, and motto "BYDAND".

It measures 2.6” (6.7cm) wide and weighs 14g.
