Here on offer is fine example of a genuine WW2 period, ‘The Royal Artillery’ sweetheart brooch that was made by Saunders & Sheppard Limited of Birmingham.
A finely detailed gilt brass and enamel regimental crest is suspended from a gilt bar brooch, with a machine turned finish.
There is excellent detail on the crest, even down to the rivets on the gun carriage.
